Ooredoo QSC was formed on 29 June 1987 domiciled in the State of Qatar under the name Qatar Public Telecommunications Corporation. In June 2013, the legal name of the Company was changed to Ooredoo Q.S.C. The Company is engaged in providing telecommunication service to both fixed and mobile telecommunications services in the state of Qatar. It offers mobile telephone services, broadband solutions, digital futures and fibre technologies, to both consumer and business markets. The Company's operations are organized into business units based on their geographical area covered, and have six reportable segments including; Ooredoo Qatar, engaged in providing domestic and international telecommunication services within the State of Qatar; Asiacell; provider of mobile telecommunication services in Iraq; Wataniya provider of mobile telecommunication services in Kuwait and elsewhere in the Middle East and North African (MENA) region; Indosat provider of telecommunication services such as cellular services, fixed telecommunications, multimedia, data communication and internet services in Indonesia; Nawras provider of mobile and fixed telecommunication services in Oman; and Others include providers of wireless and telecommunication services...
